Research findings
This drawing was purchased at the auction of the collection of the May-Fulds, a Jewish couple.
This drawing, along with those by Paulus van Liender and Hermanus Petrus Schouten, belonged to the collection of Siegfried Paul Daniël May and Rosine Mariane May-Fuld. They were confiscated by the Germans after the couple took their own lives in May 1940 and sold at Frederik Muller auction house in Amsterdam at sales on 14-17 October and 2-5 December 1941. Stadsarchief has established contact with the heirs in coordination the Van Eeghen family.
