Research findings
The identity of the Jewish owner who gave this Esther scroll to P. Brommer during the war is no longer known.
P. Brommer gave this Esther scroll and accompanying case in a wooden cabinet to the museum in 1967. The old registration card for the object states: 'This Esther scroll with case and cabinet was given by Jews to Mr Brommer during the Nazi occupation in the Second World War (1943) and never collected'. No names are mentioned in the registration records, making it impossible to identify the original owners.
