Research findings

No information is available about who the Jewish owner was who entrusted this fork for safekeeping in Buren.

It was the great-grandmother of the person who gave this fork to the museum who acquired it during the Second World War. She lived in Buren and received the fork from a Jewish woman in exchange for food. The great-grandmother promised to keep the fork for the woman to collect after the war. That never happened. It was given to the museum after the war.
