This painting is included because it belonged to the collection stolen from G.A. van Rede, Bennekom.

Mr van Rede registered the loss of the painting after the war with Stichting Nederlands Kunstbezit: it had still been in his possession before his evacuation in 1945. The museum is attempting to contact his heirs.
