Research findings
This drawing is part of the collection confiscated from Mr and Mrs May-Fuld, a Jewish couple.
Like the painting by Cornelis van der Voort, this drawing is from the collection of Siegfried Paul Daniël May and Rosine Mariane May-Fuld. The Germans confiscated their collection after the couple took their own lives in May 1940 and sold it at Frederik Muller's auction house in Amsterdam at sales on 14 -17 October and 2-5 December 1941. The museum is in contact with the heirs.
