Stilleven met pronkbeker, zilveren kan en kreeft [nl]
Stilleven met pronkbeker, zilveren kan en kreeft [nl] On a table covered with a purple, silver-edged cloth are a tall covered cup topped by a helmeted figure bearing a lance and shield, and a chased silver lobate ewer. On their right a green glass rummer of white wine on a silver tray, a lidded glass blown `a la facon de Venise' and containing a little red wine, in front of which is a Chinese porcelain dish containing slices of fruit (?). In front of the ewer, on a white napkin, are a red (boiled) North Sea lobster, a roll and an open copper (?) watch with a silver case, to which a blue ribbon and a key are attached. On the left a basket with a silver convex -rimmed dish and a few peaches. Behind it clusters of red and green grapes with vine leaves. Further to the left a cut melon, two opened oysters, a cut fig and a cluster of green grapes. On the right a peeled lemon and a silver plate with a knife and half a peach. In the background, on the right, a wall with round empty niche; on the left the sky. The still life and the room are reflected in the ewer. [nl]
