Research findings

There is no, or insufficient provenance information known about this object from the period 1933-1945. After investigation, no sources have been found to date that can provide information to complete its provenance in the period. Therefore, no conclusions can be made regarding possible suspicious provenance or involuntary loss of ownership.

Although the provenance of this object is not complete, there is however the possibility of this object being sold an re-bought by art dealer Katz, Dieren between the period 1934 and 1940. The Restitution Commitee has researched the transactions from art dealer Katz with Posse and has concluded there is no evidence to suggest this was involuntary.
