Research findings

There is no, or insufficient provenance information known about this object from the period 1933-1945. After investigation, no sources have been found to date that can provide information to complete its provenance in the period. Therefore, no conclusions can be made regarding possible suspicious provenance or involuntary loss of ownership.

Although the provenance appears complete, it cannot be certain that this object remained with art dealer Katz, Dieren between 1934 and 1941. Art dealer Katz had this object in 1934. The Restitution Commitee has researched the transactions from art dealer Katz with Posse and has concluded there is no evidence to suggest this was involuntary.
