Stilleven verguld zilveren bokaal, nautilusschelp beker en tinnen kan [nl] In front of a grey-brown wall with a niche on the right, the following items are arranged from left to right on a table covered by a blue cloth: a Chinese bowl with white (!) and blue (!) grapes, two yellow plums and a branch of vine, a lemon and a peach. On a pewter plate with a scalloped edge are a goblet of white wine and a partly peeled lemon. There are also a napkin and a pewter plate with a pewter drinking vessel and a silver (?) nautilus shell cup, its stem in the form of a bearded man. Arranged behind them are a tall silver-gilt cup, its lid adorned with a warrior bearing a shield and a lance, a pewter jug, a pewter plate with a cut ham on it, other table utensils and a brown earthenware pitcher with a pewter lid. De herkomst van dit object is niet sluitend. In 1937 was het object in bezit van kunsthandel H. Abels in Keulen. Het is niet bekend van wie, wanneer, hoe en onder welke omstandigheden kunsthandel H. Abels dit object heef verworven. In 1938 was het object in bezit van kunsthandel W.H. Paech, Amsterdam. Ook daarvan is niet bekend van wie, wanneer, hoe en onder welke omstandigheden kunsthandel W.H. Paech dit object heeft verworven. In 1940 verkocht La Croie het object aan kunsthandel Goudstikker/Miedl. Het is niet bekend wie deze persoon was. Goudstikker/Miedl verkocht het object in 1943 aan G. Groher, Neurenberg. Er zijn op dit moment geen aanknopingspunten voor het doen van verder onderzoek naar de herkomst voor de periode van 1933 tot en met 1945 bekend. [nl]
