The provenance research into the period 1933-1945 has not revealed any indications suggesting possible involuntary loss of ownership.
The provenance of this object between 1933-1940 are not complete. However, art dealer Katz, Dieren had this object in his possesion in 1937. Art dealer Asscher & Welker also had this object in the year of 1937 in their possesion. Although the provenace before 1937 is not complete, the provenance is held within the United Kingdom and shows no signs of unwilling loss of possession. The Restitution Commitee has researched the transactions from art dealer Katz with Posse (1941) and has concluded there is no evidence to suggest this was involuntary.
