The provenance of this painting is not fully complete. It is unknown when, how, or under what circumstances the Paech art dealership in Amsterdam acquired the painting. On June 10, 1940, the painting was sold by art dealer W. Paech from Amsterdam to H. Göring. This transaction is considered a voluntary sale. Subsequently, in 1944, the painting came into the possession of the Goudstikker/Miedl art dealership through an exchange with H. Göring. In 1944, it was sold to G. Barthel in Bielefeld. This transaction is also considered a voluntary sale.
