There is insufficient provenance information known about this object from the period 1933-1945. After investigation, no sources have been found to date that can provide information to complete its provenance in the period. Therefore, no conclusions can be made regarding possible suspicious provenance or involuntary loss of ownership.

De herkomstgeschiedenis van deze ets is niet sluitend. Deze ets werd op 6 april 1943 ter veiling gebracht bij veilinghuis Mak van Waay in Amsterdam door J.H. Swart. De prent werd gekocht door kunsthandel W. Oncken uit Oldenburg, Duitsland. Het is onbekend waar, wanneer, van wie of onder welke omstandigheden J.H. Swart deze ets verworven heeft en later heeft verkocht. [nl]
