Research findings

There is no, or insufficient provenance information known about this object from the period 1933-1945. After investigation, no sources have been found to date that can provide information to complete its provenance in the period. Therefore, no conclusions can be made regarding possible suspicious provenance or involuntary loss of ownership.

De herkomst is niet sluitend. Dit object behoorde in 1939 tot de collectie van F. Mannheimer. Het is niet bekend wanneer, van wie en onder welke omstandigheden F. Mannheimer deze lap heeft verworven. Bij het overlijden van Mannheimer in 1939 werd zijn boedel failliet verklaard. Dit werk is in augustus 1939 weggevoerd naar Parijs door de vrouw van F. Mannheimer. Na het faillisement van F. Mannheimer wordt het deel van de collectie dat zich in Frankrijk bevond bij de Firma Chinue opgeslagen. Via Duitsland komen de werken na de oorlog weer terug naar Nederland. [nl]
