There is no, or insufficient provenance information known about this object from the period 1933-1945. After investigation, no sources have been found to date that can provide information to complete its provenance in the period. Therefore, no conclusions can be made regarding possible suspicious provenance or involuntary loss of ownership.
The provenance of this painting is not complete. It is unknown when, how, or under what circumstances Ijzerloo from Rijswijk acquired this painting. It is also unknown when, how, or under what circumstances De Boer from Amsterdam acquired the painting. According to the Göring catalogue, De Boer sold the work to Göring on September 19, 1940. This transaction is considered a voluntary sale. In 1944, the painting came into the possession of the Goudstikker/Miedl art dealership through an exchange with H. Göring. Later that year, the painting was sold to Barthel in Bielefeld. This transaction is also regarded as a voluntary sale.
